For more than 25 years, Dr. Britt Vinson has poured his heart into our practice. After advanced training at UNC and Temple, he came home determined to pair cutting-edge orthodontics with genuine, neighborly care. He adopted digital imaging early, led new treatments for cleft-palate patients, and built an office where kindness comes first.
His greatest gift is the trust he earned. Families returned generation after generation because they felt safe, seen, and cared for. The warm tone he set still guides every smile we treat today.

Dr. Joy Gerasco, a Familiar Face at the Helm
Dr. Joy Gerasco has been part of our practice for more than a year, working closely with Dr. Vinson and the team to provide the thoughtful, high-quality care our patients expect. In that time, she has built strong connections with families, earned the trust of our staff, and become a familiar and reassuring presence in the clinic.
With dual doctorates in dentistry and biomedical research, Dr. Joy brings a passion for both clinical excellence and constant learning. What truly sets her apart, however, is how she cares for people—how she listens, how she celebrates every win, and how she brings joy into every patient interaction. Her mission is simple: to create an unforgettable orthodontic experience rooted in positivity, belonging, and exceptional care.
She believes every patient should feel seen, celebrated, and part of something joyful. Whether you are coming in for your first consultation or are halfway through treatment, Dr. Joy and the team are here to make sure you always feel like you belong. - Our team is staying the same. The people you know and trust will still be here to greet you and guide you through treatment.
- Our values and care philosophy remain unchanged. You’ll continue to receive the same thoughtful, high-quality care we’ve always provided.
- Our name will be changing later this year. The new website will launch under the name Joy of Orthodontics.
